We make power springs for spring-driven mechanisms that need useful torque over a defined release range. Specify the torque at working positions and the available turns, so we can review both winding input and the output needed to keep your mechanism moving.
The mechanism problem
Winding stores elastic energy; release provides torque to the connected mechanism. The required output depends on the working rotation and the minimum torque needed to keep the mechanism moving. Gearing, friction and speed control belong to the mechanism review as well.
We develop springs for timers, mechanical music boxes, wind-up toys and moving mechanical ornaments. The spring design is matched to the torque, working turns and space inside your mechanism.
Define usable output and winding input
Specify required torque at stated angles or turns, the useful release range and the winding direction. Include installation preload and limits on winding effort. If run time or speed is important, describe it as a mechanism requirement rather than assuming the spring alone controls it.
Power spring or angular spring?
Review power springs for the multi-turn requirements in Xubao’s product classification. For angle-adjustment requirements, compare spiral springs. We confirm the construction and torque profile from the drawing and operating duty.
Prepare these inputs
- Torque at defined positions, including minimum useful output.
- Working turns or angle, winding direction and installed preload.
- Arbor, housing and axial space, with inner and outer attachment details.
- Gear or transmission layout and any separate speed-control arrangement.
- Target duty, hold periods and operating environment.
- Drawing revision, sample quantity and production quantity.
Agree what the sample must demonstrate
Drawings or an existing sample can start development. Identify the output points to be measured and the installed conditions. Agree spring torque measurements, complete-mechanism run time and durability requirements separately, with the operating conditions for each.
Prepare your power spring enquiry
Send the torque targets, working turns and arbor or housing dimensions. A drawing or sample can help us confirm the attachments and space available for the spring.
