Spring applications
Start with the Movement Your Mechanism Needs
Your enquiry can begin with a function: lifting, cord retraction, multi-turn movement, angular adjustment, shelf pushing or a cordless-blind mechanism.
Power springs
We make springs for timers, mechanical music boxes, wind-up toys and moving mechanical ornaments.
Constant force springs
Springs for monitor lifts, standing desks and moving display mechanisms.
Variable force springs
Springs for shelf pushers, cordless roller blinds and venetian blinds.
Cord reel springs
Springs for fishing lanyards, pet leashes, vacuum-cleaner cord reels and retractable data cables.
Other Custom Springs
We also welcome enquiries for spiral springs, spring clips and flat forms, compression and torsion springs, and industrial leaf springs.
Not sure which type you need? Tell us where the spring fits and what it needs to do. A photo or sample details can help us get started.
Send an EnquiryTell us the available space, required movement, force or torque, and operating conditions. We design the spring to fit the housing, shaft and attachment points in your mechanism.
Manufacturing inputs
Materials and Strip Dimensions for Your Spring
Our factory carries out strip slitting and heat setting in-house. Material selection, spring geometry and the required manufacturing process are reviewed for the application.
| Engineering input | Product-specific options |
|---|---|
| Materials | SUS301, SUS304, SK5, 65Mn and 60Si2Mn, subject to suitability for the product and operating requirements |
| Flat strip thickness | 0.1–0.6 mm, depending on product and specification |
| Strip width | 1–100 mm, depending on product and specification |
| Dimensions and tolerances | Confirm the critical features and acceptance criteria for the specific drawing or sample |
The available thickness and width combination depends on the material and spring geometry; we confirm these together for your design. These ranges apply to flat strip. Round-wire spring diameters are assessed separately.
Two starting points
Have a Drawing? Start There. No Drawing Yet? Start with a Sample.
Drawing-based Development
We can work from PDF, DWG, DXF and STEP drawings for manufacturing review. Share the information relevant to your spring: material, thickness, width, inner and outer diameters where applicable, turns, torque, working angle, cycle-life target and quantity. You do not need every parameter to start a discussion.
Sample-based Development and Reverse Engineering
An existing sample can be a starting point. If a complete drawing is not available, share sample details or photos, installation space, target force, travel and a description of the mechanism. Design, manufacturing feasibility and the appropriate use of supplied drawings or samples are reviewed for the project.
Start through our Contact form and describe the drawings or samples you have. File transfer and sample arrangements can then be agreed.
Send Your DrawingQuality & engineering
Agree the Checks That Matter to Your Application
Our inspection equipment includes a hardness tester and a spring tensile testing machine. Tell us which dimensions and force requirements matter most to your application so we can agree the measurement points, loading conditions and acceptance criteria.
For force, torque or cycle-life requirements, provide the target together with movement, load and operating conditions. We review feasibility and agree the test method and acceptance criteria for the specific spring.
RFQ preparation
Prepare What You Know — We Can Start from There
Share the spring type or application, material preference, available space, key dimensions, required movement, target force or torque and estimated quantity. Include drawing or sample details when available. You do not need every parameter to begin the conversation.
Engineering and Purchasing Questions
Can you develop a spring for a specified force or torque?
Yes. Send the required force at working positions, or torque at angles or turns, together with the installation space. We will review the spring design and agree how the required output will be checked.
What tolerance can you achieve?
Mark the critical dimensions and required tolerances on your drawing or sample. We will review the material dimensions, formed geometry and measurement conditions, then confirm the tolerances for those features.
What sample quantity and timing should I plan for?
As a planning guide, sampling is typically around 10 pieces and 7–10 days. We confirm the quantity, schedule, how days are counted and when the schedule starts after reviewing your design.
What is the production MOQ and lead time?
The planning reference is around 500 pieces, with regular production typically taking 10–15 days depending on quantity and complexity. We confirm the MOQ, schedule, day-count basis and start point for your order.
Will a custom spring need tooling?
First production of a custom design generally requires tooling. Tooling charges may be credited against goods once the agreed quantity and order-value conditions are met. We confirm the tooling charge and credit conditions in the quotation.
Which material should I specify?
We work with SUS301, SUS304, SK5, 65Mn and 60Si2Mn. Tell us the operating conditions and functional requirements, and we will confirm which material suits the spring type and design.
How do you assess a cycle-life requirement?
Cycle life depends on spring type and duty. Send the target together with loading, travel or angle, installation and environment. We will review feasibility and agree the evaluation conditions for your spring.
